Each band is a harbor. On the left, its sea level from yesterday to tomorrow, from the Open-Meteo marine model. On the right, the wall close up: waves at their real height and period on that tide.

Each harbor is a chime whose tubes sit around the water line; the waves strike them. A flooding tide lifts the melody, an ebbing one lowers it. The moon chooses the scale.

Inspired by St.GIGA, which ran on a tide table: the piece moves through twelve programs by the rule of twelfths, low water to high water and back.
